Who is/wasTrachette Jackson?
I chose a Female African American Mathematician named Trachette Jackson. She was the third African American woman who got the Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship, which is a high honor in math. She was born on July 24th 1972, meaning she is about 39 years old. She was also a mathematics professor at the University of Michigan. Where she is from cannot be found but is either from Michigan or Arizona. She is currently still alive and keeps being math professor although she is studying more science now. This blog was great since I had to research things I didn't know and learned about some one new.

Fibonacci in Nature
Wow, first thing I learned was this Fibonacci. To be honest I thought he was a painter and not a mathematician. I also didn't know there was a pattern to his number thingy. I also didn't know his numbers had anything to do with nature and the bunnies, cows, and bees and their reproduction. The shells too, on how their spirals have anything to do with numbers. I mean how could numbers have anything to do with shells or animals. It was interesting to find this out,. The only thing that didn't amaze me but was surprised to know was that the number pattern has something to do with the stock market. It was nice reading the article and the things about animals and shells, I did learn some nice things tonight.

Wonderlic Test
I scored a 12.5. Do you think the Wonderlic test is a good indicator of NFL success? Yes, I do think the Wonderlic test is a good indicator for the NFL success. It really is if you think about it. For example, the little time one gets to answer a lot of questions builds a lot of pressure and thinking to the NFL player taking that test.
During an NFL game, the player needs to think well, that opponent guy is really good and runs fast, so if I go over there and speed up, he wont be able to get to me. That is strategic planning, which is math and the player had to do it fast, just like the test. The test, to my thoughts, basically just helps them think faster and more closer to the right thing. The Wonderlic is a good indicator for NFL success, although I would wouldn't be for the NFL since I scored so low >.< ._. ...

Ten Algebraic Commandments
The Ten Comandments video was really intresting because I didnt know there were 10 comandments pertaining to math. Seeing these made me realize I have broken a couple throughout my years as a math student. To start with I've broken the 3rd commandment of math and the 9th commandment. The third one was to do on one side of the equation to the other side, I sometimes forget to do that. The 9th commandment was to help thy neighbor and honestly I kind of stress over my math, that it seems too much to help others, which seems selfish...So yes I have broken 2 of the math commandments or more if i dont recall doing them. Now that I have broken thses rules, I guess I could follow them in order to keep them or remind myself what they are when I do math. My thought of this video was positive, I did like it and it kind of made me laugh. Esspecially that part where it sayd not to use "O" as a variable because its similar to 0(zero), and the video made me think of what are the mistakes of math I ussually do.

Mathematics Seen in Photo A
In Photo number one I see many mathematic involved in it. To start math is an everyday thing, so no matter where your at theres math :). Again, to start, adding the total number of cars would be about 100 or more! Seeing the m.p.h. they are going at and counting how many they need to reduce or how they can increase it. Also another mathematics thing in thi photo would be the miles they need to get to while they read the signs for example: 23miles to Brooklyn. The drivers would read and calculate the number or miles left and how much they've traveled. Now, going beyond the logics, what can a curious person could infer about math here. More math in this would be the width of the highway going horizontal, or how many days it took to construct one of these cars or the highway itself, or the number of tickets given out during a 10 year long period. Well to conclude picture A these are the mathematical things I found in it.
